Bookmark Contest - Anthony Gill
Our Kaju kid, Lil' Anthony Gill, (6 years old), from Kingi's Kajukenbo entered Leimert Park Village Book Fair's First Annual Bookmark Design Contest. They were looking for original artwork. This year's theme was "My Story, My Dream." All students (K-3) were encouraged to participate.
Lil' Anthony Gill won the Bookmark Design Contest! They made a big banner of his bookmark design and had it displayed for all to see! Congratulations Lil' Anthony for a job well done!

Anthony Gill's Speech
Lil' Anthony Gill is 6 years old and is a student here at Kingi's Kajukenbo. Here he recites his speech about Martin Luther King Jr. after class at the school. Anthony gave this speech at his elementary school and did an excellent job. He memorized this entire speech in just 4-5 hours!
Congratulations Anthony and keep up the good work!

Chason @ the Inauguration!
I am happy to report that our very own Sibak Chason Robinson arrived at the Junior Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference (JrPYIC) in Washington, D.C. and has been immersed within the Conference's busy schedule. Throughout the course of his time there at JrPYIC, Chason will explore Washington, D.C. while experiencing an enriching curriculum.
Chason's JrPYIC experience culminated today, Tuesday as he helped the nation welcome its 44th President, Barack Obama, by witnessing the inauguration firsthand!
On previous nights, keynote addresses were given to Chason and his fellow scholars. Chason heard from author and world class adventurer Erik Weihenmayer one night. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell on another! Powell addressed Chason and his peers with a truly memorable speech. And finally the keynote speakers featured former Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Al Gore. Chason and his fellow scholars were lucky enough to hear an inspiring message of hope from former Vice President Gore. When you next speak with Chason, be sure to ask him what he took away from today's speech and other activites.
We congratulate Chason for participating in such a monumental, historical and inspiring moment in our generation! We will get his feedback and thoughts on the experience and post that for you soon!
Until then...check out the site below for more information on Chason's awesome experience.
